My Unique Approach
Having had a career that put me in the spotlight, as well as a public relations background, I have a special understanding of the need for managing conflict and life situations while protecting your public persona and private identity. Maintaining your integrity is essential.
Is This a Good Fit for Me?
Coaching is for those who are ready to take action. If you are not willing to make mistakes, you can be certain that you are not growing and making progress. Where’s the fun in that?
I trust that we all have it in us to become the best version of ourselves. That’s right. You are meant to be you!
In our coaching partnership, you are in control. You have the power and the insight necessary to create. I am here to help you access that power, insight and wisdom.
My coaching lifts the veil and enables you to recognize opportunity and take the steps toward reaching your goals. The real question is, are you ready?
What Should I Expect?
Coaching is a partnership. Coaching is not therapy.
In coaching we roll up our sleeves and get to work. You want to show up prepared to actively participate in the process. You’ll experience many small and sometimes huge breakthroughs that will propel you forward in unexpected ways. The process, although not always easy, is energizing and exciting.
You can count on me to provide a confidential, trusting environment in which you can identify opportunities for growth and express your innermost desires.
I want you to show up, open up and be kind to yourself. You well deserve the amazing rewards that come with taking an active role in the coach/client relationship.
You are the expert in your life. You are creative, resourceful and whole.
Sometimes change is easy, but it usually takes work. Be the change.
I can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Some of My Clients Want Coaching in the Areas of
Divorce, Wellness and Midlife Transitions.
When working through issues related to divorce, wellness and other midlife transitions, you are taking on huge challenges. Add to that your concerns about perceived changes in social or professional standing, and your situation quickly becomes overwhelming.
Together we work to break free of the often self-imposed shackles and get you on your way to renewed purpose and achievement.
The client will seek professional help for legal, medical, mental, financial and spiritual matters.
The client understands that all decisions and actions with regard to these matters are exclusively her own.
The American Bar Association defines Divorce Coaching on their website as one of the dispute resolution processes:
Divorce coaching is a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their particular interests, needs, and concerns. Divorce coaches have different professional backgrounds and are selected based on the specific needs of the clients…..
The International Coach Federation (ICF) stands by a form of coaching that honors the client as the expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client is creative, resourceful and whole. Based on this foundation, it is the coach’s responsibility to:
- Discover, clarify and align with what the client wants to achieve;
- Encourage client self-discovery;
- Encourage client-generated solutions and strategies;
- Hold the client responsible and accountable;
The coach/client exchanges are confidential with the exception of any situation where the client knowingly commits a crime or endangers their life or the safety and life of a child.
The client understands that transition coaching is not to be used in lieu of professional advice.
What People Are Saying
My coaching sessions with Louise proved to be an invaluable part of my post-divorce journey. She triggered surprising insight that brought about countless “aha!” moments. Her kindness and original approach helped me move quickly through blocks and get on with my life. She is a dedicated, caring and seriously intuitive coach. Well worth the investment in myself. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
Whether it be a work, family or personal issue, Louise has the ability to listen and inspire practical down-to-earth insight. Our friendship developed out of being colleagues, and I am fortunate to have known Louise for over 25 years. Her experience as a world-traveling working mother - fluent in 2+ languages - gives her a deep cultural and global perspective. A thoughtful and trustworthy woman, Louise’s character is solid; she is the salt of the earth. I highly recommend Louise as she offers an enormous opportunity for growth, practical insight and even a life-altering change in perspective. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her will surely be inspired.
I cannot think of anyone more perfect for the job than Louise Vyent. I have known Louise since the beginning of her impressive career. I was a fashion director at Harper's Bazaar, and she was a top model. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with Louise and truly got to know her. Louise and her top male model husband Walter Schupfer were considered the 80s/90s dream couple.
While the marriage didn't last, Louise went on to make positive and healthy life changes. Today, she uses her unique experiences as a public figure as she supports women who are going through the challenges of midlife changes while also protecting their public life and career.
I can't think of anyone more qualified and understanding to succeed as a wellness and transition coach for women!
